Acquisition of a majority interest in Devtopia

Devtopia is pleased to announce the formation of a joint venture with Yield. Yield is a long-time agency partner of Devtopia. Over the past 7 years, the two companies have collaborated to provide results-driven, leading edge digital solutions to clients such as Knightsbridge, ING, 407 ETR, epost and AECL.
Yield's strategic and advertising expertise combined with Devtopia's application development strength will provide clients with top-level digital strategy, web marketing and applications. The alliance provides Yield with a majority stake in the new company in partnership with founder, Mike Senechal. The new venture is renamed Devtopia.
Heading up Devtopia as President will be Adrienne Down Coulson, who most recently was V-P Operations at MacLaren MRM. Adrienne previously held high level client service positions with Yesmail and Netcentives in California as well as digital marketing positions with Sympatico and Harlequin Enterprises in Toronto.
"As Devtopia enters a new growth phase we are delighted to have a professional of Adrienne's caliber and depth of experience to lead the operation," says Mike Senechal.
"This is a big step forward for Yield," said Yield CEO, Brad Usherwood. "We have always been about integrated communications that deliver ROI. Devtopia will give us that capability in the most important new channel to hit the industry in a generation."
Devtopia staff includes java developers, windows programmers, database administrators, flash and user interface experts along with project managers. Among the company's clients are Apple, Thomas International, BudCo, RCYC, Bowne, and InsurancePay.
Yield's current client roster includes Scotiabank International, Altamira, Cadillac Fairview, CanWest Mediaworks, Ontario Government, and TecniGlas.
